Caving Trip to Ogof Draenen Sunday 29th nov 2009

This is a SUNDAY trip to Ogof Draenen which is the 2nd biggest cave in South Wales.

No equipment is needed other than warm clothes, caving oversuit and helmet/lamp. There is no SRT and no ladders.

Murf is leading the trip .....

The cave has some fantastic formations and is sporting in some places. It is part of an active conservation project and, as such, would all members going on the trip please be extremely careful to respect the conservation work that is being undertaken.

Meet time will be 7:00am although Murf has not yet identified where (I suspect he will sooner or later as the club funds do not stretch to the hiring of a Tardis for the day).

Thanks for that correction Les - I actually meant it was the second biggest in cave in the country and was located in South Wales. I worded it badly (I wonder if I have done that elsewhere Shocked

)

I need to be back on Mendip by 6pm so it is doable so long as we are out of the cave by about 3.30 ish

I already had a word with Murf before the trip was posted here.

I am supposed to be sending him access info such as where to find the entrance, and how to open the gate.

Last time Murf wandered around trying to find an entrance on a trip (mid Wales) we didn't find it all
